Lose yourself on a summer’s afternoon with this riot of color. Inspired by a walk through McKinley Rose Garden in Sacramento on my lunch break one summer, there are many lovely moments of color and texture to be found every time I look at this piece. This is one of my experimental mixed media works and was completed with acrylic paint and soft pastels. I added a gloss acrylic varnish to preserve some of the pastel’s mark-making. It is sure to catch the natural light of your home— and the eyes of any visitor!
